# Port St. Lucie, Florida project planning

Property ZIP, floor level and access to the door Door brand or visible identification if available

## Before a visit

A hardware repair and replacement of an exterior door unit are different projects. Port St. Lucie lists door/window permit forms; describe the actual proposed replacement or alteration to the authority. ## Confirm the property and scope

Your property ZIP is a starting point, not a promise of coverage. A contractor must confirm the address, access, accepted work and availability before a visit is arranged.

## Prepare an estimate request

Read our [A Port St. Lucie sliding-door repair checklist](https://portsaintluciedoorhelp.com/estimate-guide/) and compare the written scope, exclusions and fees.
